“黄河怀绕草原美，羌中畜牧甲天下”。大家好！我是甘肃省甘南藏族自治州玛曲县县长严和平，非常荣幸有机会向大家推介我的家乡——黄河首曲玛曲县。
玛曲是亚洲第一的“天然牧场”。拥有1200多万亩集中连片、舒展平坦、草质优良、耐牧性强的亚洲最美草甸草原，是国家优良畜种河曲马、玛曲牦牛、欧拉羊的核心产地。这里盛产冬虫夏草、雪莲、贝母、红景天等名贵药材，还栖息着雪豹、梅花鹿、黑颈鹤、白天鹅等珍禽异兽。
玛曲是万水汇聚的“地球之肾”。奔流不息的黄河眷恋着玛曲，伸出433公里的温柔臂膀将玛曲紧紧怀抱其中，形成了久负盛名的“天下黄河第一弯”。这里延绵起伏的巍峨雪山，星罗棋布的湿地湖泊，一望无垠的丰美草原，孕育了成千上万条大大小小的河流小溪，从四面八方涌入黄河，每年补给黄河近100亿立方米甘甜河水。
玛曲是扣人心弦的“赛马之乡”。赛马是马背民族最喜欢、最普及、最热烈的传统民族体育运动。玛曲已成功举办了13届“格萨尔赛马节”，被国家有关部门命名为“中国赛马之乡”。每年的8月13至18日，几十万来自全国各地的赛马爱好者和游客欢聚玛曲，观赏规模宏大、场面惊艳、热闹非凡的赛马盛会，亲身感受青藏高原“世界杯”的豪放与激情。
玛曲是天人合一的“欢乐海洋”。藏族是一个“能说话就会唱歌，能走路就会跳舞”的民族，玛曲民间更有“每个人的口中都有一部格萨尔”的说法，长期说唱演变而来的藏族民歌弹唱艺术（也称“格萨尔弹唱”）源远流长。一到春夏时节，玛曲草原鸟鸣雀跃，百花争艳，奶油飘香，牧歌飞扬，整个草原在花和歌的海洋里游荡。
玛曲是放飞自由的“户外天堂”。这里的山山水水有着辽阔而高远、宁静而生动的别样韵味，河流、湿地、草原、丘陵、峡谷穿插交织，蓝天、白云、牛羊、帐篷、经幡交相辉映。融入其中，或策马扬鞭、驱车旷野，或追赶牛羊、抚慰草地，或放声弹唱、跳起锅庄，自然飘逸，自由洒脱。
玛曲是亟待开发的“绿色宝库”。这里天高云淡、风光无限，水草丰美、牛羊遍地，畜牧资源、旅游文化资源、藏中药材资源和太阳能资源得天独厚，是一个亟待开发的“绿色宝库”。

‘The Yellow River is surrounded by beautiful grasslands，The animal husbandry in Qiang is the best in the world.’Hello everyone!I'm Yan Heping, head of Maqu County, Gannan Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture, Gansu Province,It's a great honor to have the opportunity to introduce my hometown to you Maqu County, the first tune of the Yellow River.
Maqu is the first ‘natural pasture’ in Asia.It has more than 12 million mu of land, which is concentrated, continuous, flat and spread.It is the most beautiful meadow grassland in Asia with good grass quality and strong grazing tolerance,It is the core producing area of national excellent animal breeds of Hequ horse, Maqu yak and Oula sheep.It is rich in Cordyceps sinensis, Saussurea involucrata, Fritillaria, Rhodiola and other precious medicinal materials.
It also inhabits rare animals such as snow leopard, sika deer, black necked Crane, white swan and so on.
Maqu is the kidney of the earth.The running Yellow River is sentimentally attached to Maqu,stretches out 433 kilometers of gentle arms to hold Maqu tightly.It has formed the well-known ‘the first bend of the Yellow River in the world’.The rolling snow mountains here,wetlands and lakes all over the world,the vast and beautiful grassland,It has bred thousands of rivers and streams, big and small,they flow into the Yellow River from all directions,supply nearly 10 billion cubic meters of sweet water to the Yellow River every year.
Maqu is an exciting ‘hometown of horse racing’.Horse racing is the favorite and most popular of horse race,the most popular traditional national sports. Maqu has successfully held 13 sessions of ‘Gesar horse racing festival’, it was named ‘the hometown of horse racing in China’ by the relevant departments of the state.From August 13 to 18 every year,hundreds of thousands of horse racing enthusiasts and tourists from all over the country gathered in Maqu,which is a grand, terrific,exciting horse race.Feel the boldness and passion of the ‘World Cup’ on the Qinghai Tibet Plateau.
Maqu is the ‘ocean of joy’ of the unity of man and nature.Tibetans are ‘able to sing if you can speak, able to dance if you can walk’.There is also a saying in Maqu that ‘everyone has a Gesar in his mouth’,Tibetan folk song playing and singing art evolved from rap for a long time(also known as ‘Gesar playing and singing’) has a long history.In spring and summer, birds sing and jump in Maqu grassland,flowers are blooming, cream is fragrant, and pastoral songs are flying.The whole grassland wanders in the sea of flowers and songs
Maqu is an ‘outdoor paradise’ for freedom.The mountains and rivers here are vast and high,not only quiet, but also vivid,Rivers, wetlands, grasslands, hills and canyons interweave,Blue sky, white clouds, cattle and sheep, tents and prayer flags complement each other.join into it, riding a horse and whip, driving in the wilderness or chasing cattle and sheep, soothing the grass,or playing and singing, jumping up Guozhuang,natural and elegant, free and easy.
Maqu is a ‘green treasure house’ to be developed.The sky is high and the scenery is boundless,the water and grass are abundant, and cattle and sheep are everywhere,animal husbandry resources, tourism and cultural resources,Tibetan traditional Chinese medicine resources and solar energy resources are unique, It is a ‘green treasure house’ to be developed.
