永昌，古称骊靬，早在4000多年前，境内就有人类繁衍生息。汉武帝时期，霍去病出兵河西打通西域，永昌正式纳入西汉版图，成为古丝绸之路上贸易和文化交流的重镇。今天，亚欧大动脉兰新铁路、连霍高速横贯全境，金川机场建成通航，永昌仍然是现代丝绸之路上的重要节点。
【永昌·历史文化底蕴厚重】
我们永昌人文荟萃，西汉鸾鸟城、西夏石刻文、明代钟鼓楼，处处闪耀着古代文明的光辉。坐落于御山峡谷内的圣容寺，曾经是隋炀帝接见西域使臣、唐玄奘驻跸讲经之地，敦煌莫高窟有20多窟壁画记录了当时的盛况。县城往南10公里的骊靬遗址，是消失的古罗马东征军团最后的归化地，被誉为中西文化交流融合的活化石，引起国内外学者和游客的广泛关注。红西路军1936年在这里浴血鏖战，建立了河西走廊第一个县级苏维埃政权，在中国革命史上写下光辉一页。
【永昌·高原夏菜美名远扬】
永昌地势高寒（平均海拔1900米），昼夜温差大、有效积温高，祁连山雪水的浇灌和富硒土壤的滋养造就了我们生产的高原夏菜品质非常好，以绿色、有机、安全而声名远播。娃娃菜、洋葱等14类36个农产品，被认定为国家绿色食品，永昌胡萝卜是国家农产品地理标志认证产品。目前，永昌高原夏菜远销上海、杭州、南京、成都等城市及港澳地区，部分品种还出口到日本、韩国。永昌已跻身全国“北菜南运”“西菜东调”甘肃高原夏菜主产区行列。我们的“永昌肉羊”也是国家农产品地理标志认证产品。

我们永昌风景秀丽，雪山冰川、森林草原、戈壁绿洲、沙漠湿地等自然地貌一应俱全。祁连山群山叠翠，峰谷蜿蜒，勾勒出一幅绿草与白雪交相辉映的独特景观。西部草原雄浑壮美、水草丰茂，是中国历史上延续年代最久远的皇家牧场。汉明长城保存完好，气势磅礴、苍凉古朴，宛如一条巨龙穿行于茫茫戈壁。武当山下，泉水潺潺，绿草如茵，从山顶远眺，蓝天碧野尽收眼底，令人心旷神怡、流连忘返。

In the midway of the ancient Silk Road,in the north of Hexi Corridor,on the northern foothill of Qilian Mountains,there is a historical, cultural and ancient county.She is my beautiful hometown, Yongchang in Gansu Province.

I am Zhang Zhengneng, Secretary of Yongchang County Party Committee.I am sincerely inviting you to Yongchang,get to know Yongchang and fall in love with Yongchang.Yong chang is anciently called Liqian.4000 years ago, there was the footprint of human beings.During the period of the Emperor Wu of Han Dynasty,Huo Qubing led the troops to Hexi and won the Western Regions.Yongchang officially joined the Western Han Dynasty.It became the important town of trade and cultural exchange on the ancient Silk Road.
Today,the Eurasian Artery - Lanzhou-Xinjiang Railway and Lianyungang-Khorgas Highway run across.Jinchuan Airport has been built and gone into operation.Yongchang is still the significant node on the modern Silk Road.
Yongchang gathers different talents and cultures Luanniao Archeological Site from the Western Han Dynasty The stone carving from the Western Xia regime Bell and drum tower from Ming Dynasty Everywhere sparkles the glory of ancient civilization.The Shengrong Temple in the Mount Yu Canyon once was the place where the Emperor Yang of Sui Dynasty greeted with the Envoy from Western Regions,Monk Xuanzang, who lodged and preached here.More than 20 murals from Mogao Grotto at Dunhuang have recorded that spectacular event.Liqian Archeological Site with 10 kilometers south from the county is the last place of the missing Crusades Legion from ancient Rome to belong.It is reputed to be the living fossil of the intercommunication of Chinese and European countries.It has attracted eyes from the scholars and tourists worldwide.The Red Army going the west route had a tough battle in 1936 and established the first county-level Soviet Regime in Hexi Corridor.It has left a glorious page in the Chinese history.
The high and cold terrain of Yongchang (about 1900 meters altitude on average) The large temperature difference between day and night High accumulated temperature The irrigation of snow water from the Qilian Mountains The nourishment of the selenium-enriched soil They have cultivated the high-quality summer vegetables produced on the plateau.Especially Yongchang is famous for its natural, organic and safe products.Baby cabbage,onion in total of 14 categories and 36 agricultural products are recognized as the national green food.Yongchang carrot received the National Agricultural Product Geographic Indication Certification.
Currently, Yongchang plateau summer vegetables are sold further to Shanghai, Hangzhou, Nanjing, Chengdu and other cities as well as Hong Kong and Macao. Some categories are exported to Japan and Korea.Yongchang has joined the project, “sending northern vegetables to south and eastern vegetables to west”It has become the main production region of the plateau summer vegetables in Gansu.Our Yongchang mutton sheep is also the National Agricultural Geographic Indication product.
