分宜是“中国夏布之乡”，有千年苎麻种植历史，并积淀了深厚的夏布文化。“东门之池，可以沤麻。”早在两千多年前的《诗经》当中，就出现了分宜夏布的身影。
分宜夏布轻如蝉翼，薄如宣纸，软如罗绢，平如水镜，其视觉、触感非一般丝绸棉麻可比拟。如今，我县已建立从苎麻种植到服装家纺生产的完整产业链，苎麻凉席、夏绣、恩达家纺等麻纺织制品远销海内外。分宜苎麻还成为全国首个生态原产地保护的苎麻产品，中国草成为名副其实的中国宝。

Fenyi, China’s Land of Grass Linen, has a centuries-long history of ramie cultivation, with a profound ramie textile culture in place. “The pool by the east gate can be used as a place to ret for bast fibers” As early as over 2,000 years ago, Fenyi Grass Linen appeared in The Book of Songs.

As of now, our county has established a complete industrial chain, from ramie cultivation to garment and home textile production. Ramie mats, linen cloth embroidery, Enda home textiles and other ramie textile products are sold at home and abroad. Fenyi ramie has also become the first national Protected Eco-origin Product of its kind, officially labeling “Chinese Grass” as a treasure of the country.
