莲都地处浙江西南腹地、瓯江中游，古为处州府治，今为丽水市政府驻地，是丽水唯一的市辖区，置县于隋开皇年间，迄今有1400多年历史。这里山清水秀、风光旖旎，八百里瓯江最瑰丽河段，就从我们莲都穿过， 山水林田湖草共生系统和谐繁茂，全域旅游蓬勃发展， 是休闲之乡。这里人文荟萃，有1500多年历史的首批世界灌溉工程遗产通济堰；有中国第一家摄影博物馆，先后举办了16次国际、国内摄影展，被誉为中国“摄影之乡”；有独具特色的地方画派——丽水巴比松，是国内知名的油画创作、生产和销售基地， 堪称“油画之乡”。可以自信的说， 我们这里就是艺术之乡。
这里物产丰富， 高山蔬菜、处州白莲、食用菌，瓯柑、仙桃等生态精品农产品享誉全国。创建了中国首个地级市区域公用品牌——丽水山耕，是“是生态农业之乡”。这里生态良好，2018年全年空气质量优良天数达到347天。在全国169个重点城市中排名第5；水环境质量、生态环境质量 公众满意度多年位于全国前列；2018年，全区人口平均预期寿命80.78岁，百岁以上老年人就有61位，超过国际“高寿城市”标准，是名副其实的“长寿之乡”。2006年，习近平总书记在浙江工作时，曾到莲都调研，在考察古堰画乡时深情嘱托：绿水青山就是金山银山，对丽水来说尤为如此。多年以来， 莲都区始终遵循习总书记的重要嘱托， 坚持保护绿水青山这个“金饭碗”，努力把绿水青山蕴含的生态产品价值转化为金山银山，坚定不移的走向高质量绿色发展之路。

Hello, everyone! I am Chen Hao, Head of the Liandu District in Lishui, Zhejiang. I am happy to introduce you Liandu, home for painting ，a place with graceful mountains and rivers.Give me a few minutes, I bet you will fall in love with this place.
Liandu is located in the hinterland of southwest Zhejiang, the middle reach of Oujiang River. Anciently it was the government place of Chuzhou. Currently it is the government place of Lishui and the only city-governed district of Lishui. It was built in the Kaihuang Period of Sui Dynasty. It has more than 1400 years of history. Verdant mountains and graceful rivers. Charming and gentle landscape. The most beautiful section of Oujiang River with 800 li flows across the Liandu. The symbiosis system of mountain, water, forest, field and lake is harmonious and flourishing. The global tourism is developing fast. It is a leisure place. Cultures aggregate here.There is the Tongji Weir, the first batch of the world irrigation heritage with more than 1500 years of history.There is the first photography museum in China.It successively held 16 international and domestic photography exhibitions.It is so called the hometown of photography in China.There is the characteristic painting genre – Lishui Barbizon.Liandu is the art creation, production and marketing base for well-known paintings,so called the hometown of painting.Speaking confidently,we are the hometown of art.
Here it abounds in local products.Mountain vegetables,Chuzhou white lotus，edible fungi, Ouhai orange, peach and other ecological and exquisite agricultural products are renowned in the nation.We have created the first public regional brand of the prefecture-level city, Lishui mountain farming. Liandu is the hometown of ecological agriculture. Here has the extraordinary ecosystem.The number of days with quality air annually in 2018 reaches 347.It ranks fifth among 169 focused cities in China.The water quality, the ecosystem quality and the public satisfaction rank top in the nation.In 2018, the average life expectancy in the population is about 80.78 in the district.There are 61 elderly people who are more than 100 years old.It exceeds the international standard for a longevity city.Liandu is deserved to be the land of longevity.In 2006,President Xi Jinping worked in Zhejiang Province.He once did research in Liandu.When he visited this home for painting, where there is an ancient weir, he kindly advised that:Lucid water and green mountains are the invaluable assets.This is exactly true for Lishui.For many years, Liandu district insists on following the significant advice from President Xi.
