Hello everyone!I'm Zhu Bangwen, deputy secretary of the CPC Luding County Committee and head of the county,Ganzi Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture, Sichuan Province I’m very glad to recommend my hometown to you-- red city with green valley, the healthy Luding.
[Luding Is Named After Bridge, It Is the Land With Deep Culture]
Luding has a bridge before a county,the government has been established since the Han Dynasty,and the county was not formally established until the first year of the Republic of China which was 1912.Because of the bridge, it was named Luding County.In the 44th year of Kangxi in the Qing Dynasty which was 1705 A.D.,in order to smooth the trade and business, strength the defense of Xinjiang,Emperor Kangxi decreed to build the bridge here,named and wrote “Luding Bridge” personally. Luding Bridge is 101.67 meters long and 3 meters wide. It consists of 12164 iron rings and 13 iron chains,and the whole bridge has used 40 tons of iron.For more than 300 years, Luding Bridge has been flying on the surging Dadu River,made great effect on maintaining the unification of the motherland and promoting the national fusion.In the era of tea-horse exchange,it was reputed as “Three thousand miles around Lushui in the East,the first bridge out of Yanguan in the West”.Today, there are 25 ethnic groups living in Luding, including Han, Tibetan and Yi,thousand years’ Gui-Qiong culture, Tibetan-Qiang culture, Tea-Horse culture have long history and integrate with each other,accumulate the decorous humanistic culture of Luding together.

On May 29, 1935,the Chinese Workers' and Peasants' Red Army galloped 240 Li day and night,22 warriors braved the enemies’ gunfire,crawled on the bare wire,dashed though the Luding Bridge breathtakingly,and became a miracle in the world military history. 7 of top 10 marshals of the republic passed through the Luding Bridge,so it has the reputation of “Thirteen iron chains of Luding Bridge support a republic”.Nowadays, fly wins Luding Bridge,former residence of Mao Zedong,former residence of Zhu De,the first red Soviet government in Tibet and other red ruins are still preserved completely.From the founding of new China,the eighteen army used knife and axe,got through natural barrier Erlang Mountain,completed Sichuan-Tibet highway,made the two road spirit of “One is not afraid of suffering, the other is not afraid of death,fight hard and accept to be a road stone,the army and the people are one family and national unity”,left Sichuan-Tibet highway, cemetery of road building martyrs and other red memories on Luding’s land.In the new era, the people of Luding inherit the red genes and will create another glorious era.
[Luding Is Famous for the Terrain, It Is a Land With Magnificent Mountains and Rivers]
Luding is located at 30 ° north latitude,which is typical subtropical monsoon climate.Winter is not cold,and summer is not hot.It is rated as "top ten summer tourism cities in 2019".The mountains are high and the valleys are deep,the relative altitude difference is about 6500 meters,the vertical band spectrum of climate is obvious,is a genetic treasure-house of biodiversity and is the starting point of China's most beautiful landscape Avenue of national highway 318.Here has Gongga Mountain, the king of Shu Mountain,Hailuogou Glacier, the lowest and city-nearest modern glacier in Asia,Niubei mountain, the largest viewing platform in Asia,Luding Bridge, the destination of Chinese red spirit and other world-class natural and cultural landscape.There is also a big country project which flies across the Dadu River Xingkang grand bridge of Yakang Expressway,has won the IBC's "Gustav Linden less" Gold Award which can be named as the Nobel Prize in bridge industry.Luding is the “east gate of Kangba”,the communication center of entering Tibet and leaving Sichuan,the ethnic hallway of Han, Tibetan and Yi.Starting from Luding,you can reach Chengdu in 2.5 hours toward east Yakang expressway,reach state capital Kangding in 30 minutes toward west.The upcoming Sichuan-Tibet Railwaywill bring Luding into Chengdu 1.5-hour economic circle,convenient transportation will greatly promote the high-quality development of Luding.Golden Gongga Mountain,red Luding Bridge,winding Sichuan-Tibet Road,bright sunlight,fresh air,red city with green valley,healthy Luding.
