驼铃声声 古韵犹存
“大宛丰碑汉家烟，丝路驼铃声声依旧”。雄踞草原上的巴里坤古城，延续了千年文脉。在2000多年前的汉代，这里是中原进入西域的第一门户。甘露川的田野上，依然传唱着屯垦的史诗。久经风雨洗礼的八大仓敖，是国内迄今保存最完好的清代粮仓。地藏寺、仙姑庙，集佛教、道教和商业会馆为一体，是新疆规模最大，保存最完整的古庙宇群落。一条书写着繁华与落寞的古民宅巷，浓缩着巴里坤盛极一时的风貌。朗朗书声依然延续着中国数千年的孔孟之道、儒家之学。历经千年沉淀，巴里坤成为西域历史上著名的军事、文化和商业重镇，被史学家誉为“新疆汉文化的母源地”，是新疆历史上三大商都和八大名城之一。

Tinkle of camel bell, Ancient style remains
The milestone of Dawan state, Han people’s cooking smoke; The tinkle of camel bell on the silk road still retain. Barkol Ancient City on the meadow has continued its thousands of years old culture. Over 2000 years ago, in Han Dynasty, here is the first gateway to enter the Western Regions from the central plains. On the field of Ganluchuan, here it is circulating the epic about station troops to open up wasteland. The big eight granaries having been through ups and downs are so far the most well-maintained granaries from Qing Dynasty in China. Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva Temple, Female Celestial Temple, integrated with Buddhism, Taoism and business hall in a whole is the largest in scale, the most well-maintained ancient temple cluster. An ancient home and alley leaving the marks of prosperity and desolation, is the concentration of Barkol’s thriving appearance. The sound of reading is the continuation of the doctrines of Confucius and Mencius, Confucianism with thousands of years in Chinese history. Through the accumulation in thousands of years, Barkol has become the important famous military, cultural and business town in the history of the Western Regions. It is praised as the cradle of Xinjiang Han Culture by historians. It is one of the three biggest business capitals and eight most famous cities in Xinjiang history.
Landscape in the Western Regions, the Mystical Land

The altitude difference in between the top of Mount Tianshan to the Barkol Lake has formed a Mountain Vertical Natural Landscape Belt. There is no city like Barkol that the entrance of the city is meadow. A wide range of meadow in 28 million mu is one of the three grasslands in Xinjiang. Beautiful Aquatic Plants, Cows and Sheep Everywhere Kazakh who are living here graze their horses by the lake and sing in the woods. There is the mobile yurt, tranquil village. There is the populus euphrates forest illustrated in the paintings, the water birds chased by photographers and even the melodious dombra.
The integration of the history of Tuntian and immigration culture has made Barkol a place full of delicacies. The annual food festival attracts many tourists who admire this place to come. Braised lamb pancake, boiled lamb, local hotpot, horse milk wine，wormwood noodle and different small snacks are unique in flavor, juicy, and savory.
