恭城，位于“山水甲天下”的桂林市东南部，紧邻中国旅游名县——阳朔，贵广高铁过境设站；境内山川形胜、风光秀丽，被誉为“南岭明珠”。悠久的历史文化、浓郁的瑶族风情、良好的生态环境在这里交相辉映，相得益彰。
恭城，是一座底蕴深厚之城
恭城，是一座历史底蕴深厚的城市。历经1400余年沧桑不失光芒，素有“秀美山水看桂林，古建精华在恭城”的美誉。县城是中国历史文化名镇，文庙、武庙、周渭祠、湖南会馆是国家级重点文物保护单位，18个古村落列入中国传统村落名录，曾经走出北宋侍御史周渭、广西大学创始人马君武等杰出人物。

Spectacular Hometown of Yao people, Gongcheng with Great Well-being. Hello to all. I am the County Major of People's Government of Gongcheng Yao Autonomous County, Guangxi, Yang Zhengshan. Today, I am honored to bring you to Gongcheng and experience the unique charms of Gongcheng together.
Gongcheng is located the southeast of Guilin, a city where rivers and mountains are the best in the world. It is right next to the famous tourist county in China, Yangshuo. Guiyang to Guangzhou High-Speed Railway runs across and a station was built here. Withing the territory, mountains and rivers have topographical advantages The landscape is appealing. It is so called the bright pearl on the south ridge. Profound historic culture, rich Yao customs and nice ecological environment complement each other and bring out the best in each other.
Gongcheng is a city with profound culture
Gongcheng is a city with profound history. Through over 1400 years of vicissitudes with splendor, it is praised as “ elegant mountains and rivers in Guilin, the essence of ancient architecture in Gongcheng. The county is a famous historic and cultural town in China. Confucious' temple, Guan Yu Temple, Zhou Wei Shrine, Hunan Guild are the national key cultural relic protection units. 18 ancient villages were listed on the famous traditional village list in China. Zhou Wei, the Censor from Northern Song Dynasty and Ma Junwu, the founder of Guangxi University and more talented people were born from here.
Gongcheng is a city with rich Yao customs
Gongcheng is a city with rich folk customs. It is the youngest Yao autonomous county in the People's Republic of China. Since the autonomous county was founded 30 years ago, different ethnic minorities have united together, worked hard and developed prosperously together. The county has received the title, “National Ethnic Unity and Progress Demonstration Zone”. Persimmon Festival, Camellia Oil Tea Festival, Guan Yu Festival, Panwang Festival, Fireworks Festival and so on have shown all Yao customs. Intangible culture and techniques such as oil tea songs, long drum dance have inherited the past and innovated. They carry the ancient and mysterious Yao stories. Gongcheng oil tea is the most characteristic and traditional drink in Gongcheng. It is praised as the secret of longevity. Oil tea customs have been on the National Intangible Cultural Heritage Famous List. The largest number of people drinking the camellia oil tea was listed in the Guinness World Records. On the 2139 square kilometers of Yao’s hometown， Yao customs have shown its characteristics such as folk customs in each village, festivals in each mouth and each family drinking oil-tea camellia.

Gongcheng is an ecological city that can fulfill people’s well-being. The forest coverage rate reaches 82.53%. With its unique ecological environment and climate, it was the first livable city for its weather in China. It is the hometown of longevity in China. Gongcheng accelerates its construction of Healthy China, develop industries that can improve well-being, and fully facilitate people’s health system projects It has become a National Health Facilitation County. Gongcheng is a livable and travel-friendly city. You can see lucid rivers and lush mountains. You can see the blue sky and white clouds. You can remember the beautiful nostalgia. These are the norms for people who live here. There is the 500 thousands of mu fruit garden. The melons and fruits are aromatic in four seasons each year. Visitors can take a walk in the fruit garden in the village, breath in oxygen and detox the lungs. Here the sweet ecological fruits and beautiful Yao villages have received the China Habitat Environment Example Prize. It has successfully held the second National Refinement of Living Space in the Village Conference.
By taking the chance of Guilin which is creating the world-class tourist city, relying on the Guiyang-Guangzhou High-speed Railway that connects to Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, Gongcheng has successfully created the Guangxi Characteristic Tourist Famous County. It is working hard to become the National All-for-one Tourism Demonstration Area. It is working hard to create a recreational tourist destination desired by the general visitors, a destination for cultural tourism and a destination for village tourism.
Current Gongcheng is the first stop for people from Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area to enter Guilin. Taking the high-speed railway from Gongchen, we can arrive at Guilin in 30 minutes, Guangzhou in 2 hours and Shenzhen in 2.5 hours.
