邕江，南宁的母亲河，哺育着世代邕城儿女。在邕江的源头，左右江并流汇聚，各族人民依水而居，安居乐业，这就是“邕城源流 智引未来”的广西南宁西乡塘区。大家好！我是广西南宁市西乡塘区人民政府区长韦翯钰，很高兴向大家介绍我的家乡——西乡塘。
邕江之源 滋养万物
西乡塘区位于广西首府绿城南宁的西北，是南宁母亲河“邕江”的起源之地。“星河东注盆邕水，云檄南凭指号山”，历代文人在西乡塘留下众多足迹和诗文，盛赞三江汇聚美景。悠悠三江水，滋养着西乡塘区200多万各族人民。1958年1月“南宁会议”期间，毛主席曾两次到邕江冬泳，畅游邕江；如今南宁人民每年都要在位于西乡塘的冬泳亭举办冬泳活动，强健身体，纪念毛主席。西乡塘有秀水也有名山。罗秀山，是古邕州八景之一。东晋医药学家葛洪曾在此研究药理；禅宗佛教《六祖坛经》 重要的惠昕本就在此山编定。明崇祯十年九月初九，明代大旅行家徐霞客“越涧登山”，留存了唯一完整的古邕州游记。
民族文化 源远流长
西乡塘居住着汉、壮、瑶、苗、维吾尔等45个民族，西乡塘区努力以铸牢中华民族共同体意识为主线，构筑中华民族共有精神家园，促进各民族交往交流交融，城区各族人民和睦相处，形成了三月三歌圩节、平话山歌、双忠节、龙舟赛等多姿多彩的民族文化。其中值得一提的是，流传在西乡塘陈东村古傩戏《大酬雷》，可以让人一窥神秘而古老的原始祭礼。在古老的农耕文化中，雷的鸣响带来的就是雨的润泽，《大酬雷》通过一系列狂热、古朴、粗犷、刚劲的舞蹈组合，感谢雷神给天下苍生带来风调雨顺， 五谷丰登。
人文荟萃 科教雄厚
西乡塘区智力荟萃，科教资源丰富，是教育科研大区。广西唯一的国家“211工程”建设学校——广西大学，坐落于西乡塘区。此外广西民族大学、广西科学院、广西农科院 等全区70%的高校、科研院所汇聚在这里。让这里充满了人文气息。依托高校科研院所集聚的优势，广西唯一的国家级高新技术开发区——南宁高新区也坐落于西乡塘。2017年，习近平总书记 到南宁高新区与北京中关村合作创建的“南宁·中关村创新示范基地”视察时，强调“让适宜的种子在适宜的环境中开花结果”。如今，高新技术开发区各类“双创”载体合计35家，高新技术企业422家，南宁高新区三大主导产业实现产值351亿元，将新一代信息技术、智能制造、生命健康等产业打造成为广西一流的产业集群。
山青水秀 鱼米之乡
西乡塘地处北回归线以南，水源丰富，日照充足。农业产业化国家重点龙头企业——广西金陵农牧集团，拥有唯一国家级地方鸡种基因库（广西）,培育出具有全自主知识产权、国家审定品种的金陵鸡，年产两亿多只 远销华南、西北，深受消费者喜爱。可以说，在新疆每三只鲜香可口的大盘鸡，其中就有一只来自我们西乡塘。还有双定镇的甜南瓜、柑橘，金陵镇的鱼、香蕉，坛洛镇的大米、黑皮冬瓜，石埠街道一年四季的蔬菜，让西乡塘成为久负盛名的“鱼米之乡”。

Yongjiang River, the mother river of Nanning, nurtures generations of Yongcheng. By the source of Yongjiang, rivers converge into one. Ethnic minorities live by the river, live peacefully and work happily. This is the place where rivers converge in Yongcheng City and smart city lead the future, Xixiangtang District in Nanning, Guangxi. Hello, everyone! Source of Yongjiang River, Nurturing All Creatures
Xixiangtang District is located by the northwest of the capital of Guangxi Province, the green city Nanning. It is the source city of the mother river of Nanning, Yongjiang River. Generations of literati have left numerous foot prints, poems and writings, for praising the beautiful scenery of the converging three rivers. Three peaceful rivers nurture over two million ethnic minority people in Xixiangtang District. On January,1958, during Nanning Conference, Chariman Mao came to Yongjiang River for winter swimming and touring on Yongjiang River. Nowadays, Nanning people hold winter swimming activities each year at the Winter Swimming Pavilion in Xixiangtang each year, for improving health, commemorating Chairman Mao. Xixiangtang has elegant rivers and famous mountains as well. Mount Luoxiu is one of the eight landscapes in ancient Yongzhou. Medical scientist Ge Hong from the Northern Jin Dynasty conducted pharmacology here. The Huixin Book from The Dharmic Treasure Altar-Sutra of the Sixth Patriarch in Buddhism was compiled here. On the tenth year of Chong Zhen Period from the Ming Dynasty and the ninth days of September in lunar calendar, the big traveler Xu Xiake from Ming Dynasty jumped over streams and climbed mountains and left the only complete the ancient Yongzhou journal.
Folk Culture, Long History
45 ethnic minorities live in Xixiangtang including Han, Zhuang, Yao, Miao, Uyghur and etc. Xixiangtang District strives to solidify the sense of community of Chinese nation as the main purpose, build the the shared spiritual home of Chinese people, and facilitate the communication and fusion of different ethnic minorities. Different ethnic minority people in the urban area live in harmony together. There has arise a singing festival on the third days of March, Ping dialect folk song, Double Loyalists Festival, Dragon Boat Race and multifarious folk customs. It is worth mentioning that the Dachoulei, an ancient Nuo Drama circulating at Chendong Village in Xixiangtang gives people a glimpse of mysterious and ancient sacrificial rites. In the ancient agriculture, the thunder brings the nurture of rain. Dachoulei, through a series of crazy, primitive, rugged, powerful integrative dance. is created to thank thunder god who brings wind and rain to the world, the harvest of five grains.
Fusion of Diverse Cultures, Strong Scientific Research and Education
Xixiangtang gathers many talents, with rich scientific and educational resources, which is am important area for education and research. The only national university in the 211 project in Guangxi, Guangxi University is located in the Xixiangtang District. Besides, Guangxi University for Nationalities, Guangxi Academy of Sciences, Guangxi Academy of Agricultural Sciences and over 70% of the higher education institutes, scientific research institute have gathered around here. Here is full of the aura of culture. Relying on the advantage of the clustering high education and scientific research institutes, the only national level Hi-tech Development Zone in Guangxi, Nanning High-tech Development Zone is also located in Xixiangtang. In 2017, when General Secretary Xi Jinping inspected the “Nanning-Zhongguancun” Innovation Demonstration Base built by Nanning Hi-tech Development Zone and Zhongguancun from Beijing in cooperation, he emphasized on letting the appropriate seeds to bloom and bear fruits in the appropriate environment. At present, at the Hi-tech Development Zone, different “double chuang” carriers reached 35 in number. The number of hi-tech companies reached 422. The three leading industries at Nanning Hi-tech Development Zone have realized 35.1 billion RMB in output value, which brings the new generation of technology, smart manufacture, life health and other industries together to create the first-class Guangxi industry cluster.
Lucid Rivers and Lush Mountains, the Hometown of Fish and Rice
Xixiangtang is located in the south of the tropic of Cancer, with rich water resources and sufficient sunshine. The national key leading company in the industrialization of agriculture, Guangxi Jinling Husbandry Group is the only national-level chicken breeding gene pool in Guangxi. It has cultivated Jinling chickens with Independent Intellectual Property Rights and national variety registration. Around 0.2 billion chickens in annual production output are sold to south China, northwest China and are deeply loved by customers. So as to say, among every three fresh and tasty saute spicy chickens in Xinjiang there is one from our Xixiangtang. There is the sweet pumpkin and orange from Shuangding Town, fish and banana from Jinling Town, rice and dark skin winter melon from Tanluo County the vegetables in four seasons from the Shibu neighborhood, allowing Xixiangtang to become the notable hometown of fish and rice.
