This is He County, formerly known as Li Yang. In 555, The Southern Liang and Northern Qi negotiated peace here, and therefore, it was named Hezhou; after the Revolution of 1911, it was renamed He County. The He County is located in the east of Anhui along the Yangtze River. It features superior location, profound culture, eco-friendly living and unlimited potential.

He County is a cradle of civilization. 300,000 years ago, the ape men once descended and flourished in He County. Therefore, He County became one of the important pillars of early Chinese civilization. He County boast numerous renowned celebrities in the history. Xiang Yu, Overlord of Western Chu, once stationed here, and the masculinity of the emperor still lingers in the Overlord Memorial Temple; Liu Yuxi, the great literary figure of the times, once served as Prefectural Governor of Hezhou, and composed the eternal masterpiece An Epigraph in Praise of My Humble Home here; Li Bai, the Poetic Genius, once toured here, and wrote down the soul-stirring poem Looking into the Tianmen Mountain; Lin Sanzhi, the contemporary master of Cursive Script, is famous throughout the world for his knowledge of the ancient and modern world.

He County, a Place to Enjoy the Living of "Harmonious People and Landscapes"
He county boasts numerous excellent mountains and waters. And you may wander among the "Three Mountains" and "Three Lakes", to enjoy the pretty scenes of the Tianmen Mountain, the Jilong Mountain and the Rufang Mountain, and to view the scattered distribution of the Xiangquan Lake, the Banyue Lake and the Rushan Lake. You may also take a bath in the ancient hot spring with a history of about a thousand years, to eliminate the fatigue, or taste the fried beef with characteristics of the Hui people, and feel the lingering flavor at the tongue tip; or appreciating the melodious Donglu Luzhou Opera, make a pretty and impressive feather painting, walk through the deep and long lane of the bamboo strip craftsmen. To experience the colorful folk cultures, and to explore the charms of intangible cultural heritages. You may also wait for the sunset on the Fusha Dike, or listen to the cicada chirp on a summer evening at Xinzhuang Village, just relax and cherish the cosy time.

It is the legendary story of "five capable men boosting the prosperity of the entire town, with thousands of tons of vegetables delivered across the river" that has shaped the gold-lettered signboard of "Town of Vegetables in China" of The County. Currently, the County has a vegetable cultivation area of nearly 400,000 mu. The annual output of various vegetables is nearly one million tons, and the vegetables are sold to more than 100 large and medium-sized cities in China. He County is also a national pollution-free vegetables and raw green food standardized production base county, as well as the "greatest non-grain food supply base in the middle and lower reaches of the Yangtze River".
