      额尔古纳位于内蒙古自治区东北部，因额尔古纳河而得名，素有“呼伦贝尔缩影”的美誉。总面积2.89万平方公里，隔额尔古纳河与俄罗斯相望，边境线长674.89公里，约占内蒙古自治区中俄边境线的63%，是祖国版图上最靓丽、耀眼的“雄鸡之冠”，是黑龙江源头、大兴安岭北麓起源、蒙古族发源地，享有“三源圣域、大美湿地”美称。

      额尔古纳是一座山川秀美的生态之城。大森林、大草原、大湿地、大河流，是其最具代表性的自然生态资源，近年来我们深入践行绿水青山就是金山银山的发展理念，全市有林地面积209万公顷，活立木蓄积4553.9万立方米，有草地550.3万亩，森林覆盖率达73.3%。被认定为2022年国家级全域森林康养试点建设市，并成为“全国森林康养典型案例”入选单位。当前我们正全力创建国家生态文明建设示范市和国家“两山”实践创新基地，切实为祖国北疆生态安全构筑一道坚强屏障。

      额尔古纳是一座风景绚丽的旅游之城。身入这片广袤大地，您可以领略到莽莽兴安林海、滔滔古纳江水、辽阔天然草场、秀美河谷湿地、清俊挺拔白桦浑然一体，更感受到这片热土得自然之宠、享造化之功、显民风之纯，集名气、灵气、大气于一身，倍觉“探之弥深、恋之愈坚”。这里是著名的旅游胜地和避暑圣地，目前全市有4A级景区5个，曾获评“中国深呼吸小城100佳”“中国最具民俗文化特色旅游目的地”“第二届中国最具价值文化（遗产）旅游目的地”“全国十佳魅力名镇”等荣誉称号，近几年，额尔古纳逐渐成为网红打卡地，吸引全国各地游客纷至沓来。

      额尔古纳是一座底蕴深厚的历史之城。额尔古纳河流域是举世公认的蒙古族的发祥地，也是北方游牧民族成长的历史摇篮，孕育了“蒙兀部”远古文明，被著名历史学家翦伯赞先生称为“中国历史上一个幽静的后院”。隋唐时期，蒙兀室韦部落在这里游牧狩猎，生息繁衍，公元12世纪，一代天骄成吉思汗在额尔古纳河畔厉兵秣马，统一蒙古诸多部落，与各民族共同开拓辽阔的疆域、书写悠久的历史、创造灿烂的文化、培育伟大的精神留下了浓墨重彩的一笔。获批内蒙古自治区唯一一家国家级传统村落集中连片保护示范市，全市11个村落入选中国传统村落名录。

      额尔古纳是一座民族团结的和谐之城。汉、蒙、回、俄等19个民族在这里守望相助、和睦相处、繁衍生息，各民族像石榴籽那样紧紧抱在一起，铸牢中华民族共同体意识。这里有全国唯一的俄罗斯族民族乡和内蒙古自治区唯一的回族乡。俄罗斯族是全国10万人口以下较少民族之一，这些从19世纪末20世纪初一直繁衍生息到今天的华俄后裔，依然保留着独特的俄罗斯民俗风情，俄罗斯族“巴斯克节”被列为国家级非物质文化遗产，俄罗斯族婚礼入选自治区级非物质文化遗产名录。

Hello, everyone! I am Wen Jinlei, the Secretary of the CPC Erguna Municipal Committee. I am right here, extending my genuine welcome to you, and let us explore the beautiful and harmonious Erguna!

Erguna, located in the northeast of Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, bears the name because of the Erguna River, and gains great fame as the “miniature of Hulunbuir”. With a total area of 28900km2, and 476.89km of borderline, including the Erguna River as its border with Russia, Erguna forms the conspicuous and shining “crown” of China’s territory. As the headstream of Amur River, the north foot of the Greater Khingan Mountains, and the cradle land of the Mongolian ethnic, it is well known as the “Beautiful Holy Wetland of Three Great Origins”.

Erguna is an ecological city with gorgeous mountains and rivers. The large forests, large grasslands, large wetlands and large rivers are the representative ecological resources. Since recent years, we have been practicing the development philosophy that lucid waters and lush mountains are invaluable assets. The whole city has 2.09 million hectares of forest land, 45.539 million cubic meters of living wood stock, 5.503 million acres of grassland, with forest coverage rate 73.3%. It was entitled to be a national level pilot city of forest-based health maintenance and retirement living, and nominated as a “typical case of forest-based health maintenance and retirement living in China”. Currently we are doing our best to be a national demonstration city for ecological civilization and an innovative base to practice the philosophy of “lucid waters and lush mountains are invaluable assets”, so as to actually build a strong ecological safety shield for the north border area of China.

Erguna is a tourism city with splendid views. As you travel into this vast land, you can take pleasure in the thriving forests of Khingan Mountains, the rushing water of the Erguna River, the extensive natural grassland, the beautiful wetland of the river valley, and the tall and straight birches as an integral whole, feeling the natural resources from evolutions, as well as the people’s honesty and hospitality on this blessed land, making you feel “like it more strongly as exploring more deeply” from its reputation, inspiration and magnificence. It is a famous tourism and summer resort. With 5 places of 4A scenic spots in the whole city, Erguna gained honorable titles such as “Top 100 Deep Breathing Towns in China”, “Most Unique Folk Custom Tourism Resorts in China”, “the Second Campaign for Tourism Resorts with Richest Cultural (Heritage) Value”, and “Top 10 Charming Towns of China”. In recent years, Erguna has gradually become a popular destination among Internet celebrities, also attracting tourists from all over China.

Erguna is a historical city with rich cultural deposits. The Erguna River basin is universally acknowledged as the cradle land of the Mongolian ethnic and other northern nomadic ethnics, nurturing the ancient civilization of “Moghul”, thus it was complimented by Mr. Jian Bozan, a famous historian, as “a quiet courtyard in the history of China”. During the Sui and Tang Dynasties, the Wei tribe of Moghul evolved themselves by nomadic and hunting activities in this area. In the 12th century, the great emperor Genghis Khan got his army ready by the Erguna River, unified various tribes, expanded the territory with other ethnics, created great history with splendid culture and great spirit, and made remarkable achievement with his valuable legacy. The city was entitled as the only national model city in the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region for concentrated and connected protection to traditional villages. There are 11 villages of the city listed in the Chinese Traditional Village Directory.

Erguna is a harmonious city of ethnical unity. There are residents of 19 ethnics such as the Han, the Mongolian, the Hui, and the Russian etc. live and evolve here in harmony by helping and supporting each other, closely related to each other like pomegranate seeds, firmly building the national unity awareness of the Chinese nation. Here has the only Russian ethnic township in China and the only Hui ethnic township in the Inner Mongolian Autonomous Region. The Russian ethnic is one of minor ethnic with total population less than 100 thousand. These descendants of Chinese Russians have been here since late 19th century or early 20th century, keeping their unique Russian folk customs. The “Basque Day” of the Russian ethnic was listed among the national intangible cultural heritages, and the Russian ethnic wedding ceremony was listed among the intangible cultural heritages of the Autonomous Region.
